Service Coordinator


A Service Coordinator is required for an established, and successful, family run engineering business located in Solihull. The company has enjoyed sustained periods of growth resulting in the need to build the team to enable the service department to flourish, providing exceptional customer service and support to clients. Key responsibilities include planning the daily and weekly service schedules and deployment of field service engineers in support of planned, reactive and emergency service work.

The position of Service Coordinator will include:

  • Planning all daily and weekly service work, deploying appropriate service engineers to the various jobs.
  • Ensure planned service work is completed in line with agreed terms, and coordinate with the service teams to ensure all reactive and emergency service work is carried out in timely.
  • Planning workloads and assigning engineers to appropriate jobs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and delegate tasks effectively to allow for unexpected emergency call outs.
  • Prompt response to customer emails and phone calls.
  • Accurate logging of service calls in the CRM system.
  • Effective communication with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Proactive daily, weekly, and monthly planning of engineering activities.
  • Ordering spare parts and coordinating deliveries as required.
  • Administration of job reports from field engineers.
  • Ensuring accuracy of work sheets.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office.
