Programme Manager: Warehouse Automation and Logistics Sector

Salary (negotiable): c£75,000 – c£90,000 + company bonus & benefits

We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager or experienced/senior Project Manager to join a growing innovative business operating in the Warehouse Automation and Logistics sector, dedicated to providing innovative solutions that optimise supply chain processes. With a commitment to cutting-edge technology and operational excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme Manager (open to experienced/senior Project Managers) to join our dynamic team.

As a Programme Manager in the Warehouse Automation and Logistics sector, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing complex projects that involve the implementation of warehouse automation systems and logistics solutions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, meeting client expectations, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, time-lines, and budgets for warehouse automation and logistics projects. Lead the execution of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards and time-lines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, sales, and customer support, to ensure seamless project delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with warehouse automation and logistics projects and develop mitigation plans. Proactively address issues to keep projects on track and within scope.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate and manage resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet project requirements. Work closely with team members to optimise performance and address any resource constraints.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to guarantee the reliability and performance of warehouse automation systems. Conduct regular assessments to ensure project deliverable meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Budget Oversight: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial targets are met. Provide regular financial updates and forecasts to senior management.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and change logs. Provide regular status updates to key stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent engineering experience from the Warehouse Automation & Logistics industry sector.
  • Proven experience in programme management, specifically in the Warehouse Automation and Logistics sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse automation technologies and logistics solutions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
