Product Manager

A Product Manager with experience, or knowledge CNC Machinery, is required for a leading manufacturer of CNC Machinery.

This position will be instrumental in recommending new products to be designed and manufactured, capitalising on shifting trends and gaps in the market. You will research the machinery market through attendance of trade shows, reviewing online competitor information and speaking to customers and other users of this type of equipment.

The position of Product Manager will include the following:

  • Researching the CNC Machinery market within the UK and Europe.
  • Identify gaps in technology and opportunities to offer exciting features to new and existing equipment.
  • Make a business case recommendation to the company regarding new product models to bring to market.
  • Work closely with marketing to promote and explain the unique selling points and key.
  • Conduct group presentations to internal stakeholders such as engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing.
  • Some occasional European travel is expected.

The suitable candidate for this position of Product Manager will need to possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experienced Product Manager, Applications Engineer or Sales professional or purchasing professional with knowledge or experience with CNC Machine Tools.
  • Confident presenter able to deliver a well contstructed presentation to an audience of engineers and commercial teams internally.
  • Inquisitive personality and well organised to delve into the detail.
  • An understanding of the equipment and able to identify the subtle differences between the different models of machinery across multiple manufacturers.

The position could suit an individual from a variety of different positions providing a current knowledge of CNC machinery and the ability to research the data and make sound commercial decisions/recommendations based on those findings.
