IT Support (1st/2nd Line)

A 1st Line IT Support Technician is required for an IT support business covering organisations within Solihull and some surrounding areas.

The position of 1st Line IT Support Technician will include the following:

  • Attending various sites within the Solihull area supporting customers with computer issues.
  • Onsite support covering predominantly 1st Line and some 2nd Line support.
  • Running diagnostics on PCs’ and other hardware, setting up anti-virus, improving computer/IT performance, updating and configuring Windows applications and other operating systems.
  • Connecting PC and other hardware peripherals such at printers, external drives and cloud-based applications.
  • Update IT tickets to service desk
  • Some networking set up and configuration

The suitable candidate for 1st Line IT Support Technician will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience with IT systems through a support role or hands on knowledge and experience.
  • Personable and likeable individual who is able to build rapport with customers whilst on site.
  • Technical Qualification in IT or suitable hands-on experience.

This position will suit either an experienced IT Support Technician or someone who has the suitable knowledge to succeed. Providing you have a can-do attitude, if there are gaps in experience we are happy to support you with additional training.
