We are seeking a Controls Engineer with expertise in Mitsubishi PLC programming to join an innovative manufacturer specialising in advanced automated equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and deliver robust control solutions.
Role Overview:
As a Controls Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing PLC code for Mitsubishi PLCs, tailored to bespoke automation systems.
- Programming HMIs and ensuring seamless communication between control systems and operator interfaces.
- Integrating and optimising motion control systems, including robotics and multi-axis equipment.
- Conducting system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and commissioning equipment both in-house and on-site.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to deliver fully integrated solutions.
Skills and Experience Required:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Strong expertise in Mitsubishi PLCs, such as FX, Q, or L series, with the ability to program from scratch.
- Experience programming and integrating motion control systems, including servo drives and stepper motors.
- Proficiency in creating user-friendly HMI programs to facilitate operator interaction.
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
